ASA 101, Keelboat Sailing 1 

Capable of skippering a sloop-rigged keelboat around 20 to 27 feet long during daylight in light to moderate winds (up to 15 knots) and sea conditions. Understands basic sailing terms, parts, and functions, helm commands, essential sail trim, points of sail, buoyage, seamanship, and safety, including basic navigation rules to prevent collisions and avoid hazards. Operation of auxiliary power is not required.
